BARDIC DRAMA SCHOOL SYLLABUS LEARNING OUTCOMES

Our syllabus is revised every two years. The next revision is due in January 2010.

Following are learning outcomes defined by the Bardic Drama School syllabus:

  1. Students will realise the potential of their natural voice through good breath control and posture, clear articulation, resonant tone, audibility, appropriate use of inflection, pitch and pace.
  2. Students will present confident oral presentations, both prepared and improvised, for specific audiences.
  3. Students will use effective communication skills to facilitate constructive responses to the creative process for the development of works for presentation to an audience and the work of peers and self.
  4. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the creative process through both written and performed projects.
  5. Students will identify strengths and weaknesses in their own creative process and plan strategies for improvement.
  6. Students will analyse and interpret creative writing for performance.
  7. Students will articulate their vision of their own community through a variety of creative genres.
  8. Students will demonstrate basic stagecraft and video production skills through productions that communicate the student’s intentions and hold the audiences interest.
  9. Students will understand the style and context of two new movements or genres in film and theatre studies each year.
  10. Students will tell engaging stories in a variety of forms.
