WHAT WE DO IN CLASS
Each class starts with a game using one of the toys we have in our cupboard. Some of the toys we use for warm up games are:
- Purple squishy balls with lights that flash.
- A microphone that makes your voice echo.
- A puppet theatre with lots of finger puppets.
- A loud hailer with flashing lights!
- A really cool wind machine that makes lots of sound effects.
Kids make plays and choose the characters and what happens in the play. Most of our plays are very funny. We make films and edit them on the computer. You get to invite your parents, brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents and friends to see your film.
At our school we think that peoples' ideas and feelings are really important. When a new student arrives at our school it is exciting for all of us. We always take time to get to know the new person before we start class. New students also have a special buddy for the first three classes so that there is someone to explain things and show new people how our school works. We have some rules to make sure that everyone gets a turn and is listened to and appreciated.
