WANT TO KNOW WHAT WE DO IN CLASS?

• VOICE: these exercises help you enjoy your voice and use it effectively when you perform.
• PERFORMANCE: you'll have a part in a play and in a film every year.
• COMMUNICATIONS: our communications exercises really help with confidence, social skills, exploring characters and representing them more effectively. Topics include: Active Listening, Team Building, Defining My Learning Style, Negotiation, Restorative Practices, Debating, Research, Interviews and Change. We do one topic every two terms.
• PUBLIC SPEAKING: every time we ask the students if they want to keep the public speaking modules they say yes! They say it really helps with presentations at school. We do both impromptu and prepared speaking.
• CREATIVE WRITING: everyone works together to write the scripts for films. It is a collaborative process and lots of fun. People contribute in different ways depending on what they are interested in.
• FILM & THEATRE STUDIES: each semester we look at a different aspect of theatre or film. The notes are pretty easy and we read them together in class. It helps everyone understand the scripts more easily and also helps with ideas when film scripts are written. There is a list of the things we do under 'topics'.
