This was written by our Year 8 to 12 students to give other young people an idea of what Bardic Drama School is like.

"People become motivated to participate quite quickly once they start at Bardic because it is fun and exciting and doesn’t feel like work. We explore our own ideas through a variety of scripted and self-devised projects in a comfortable, informal and supportive environment."

"Often we plan the class together, thinking about what we need to do that particular week in order to move our work forward. Normally this will be followed by a variety of activities depending on the week, from brainstorming and agreeing on a theme to writing scripts or work-shopping scenes or structured directed rehearsal."

"Every student is given an opportunity to perform throughout the term, during which they are encouraged by friendly staff and peers. The work covered at Bardic often overlaps and supplements work covered in preliminary and HSC English and Drama, providing new layers of understanding and enabling students to achieve outstanding results."

"When our films are screened or our plays performed there is a sense of accomplishment from having worked steadily on a project over a period of time, which we rarely feel in other environments. We are always extremely proud of the work we produce with our class at Bardic, and are happy for it to be viewed by family and friends."
